This release is a milestone in the development of the easys distribution. For the first time the new installation and the administration framework for Linux - ALICE (Advanced Linux Installation and Configuration Environment) - is introduced to the public. Thanks to ALICE, users are now able to perform easy graphical installation of a Slackware Linux system. Another innovation is the switch to the 2.6 (2.6.24.3) kernel series and the omission of the 2.4 kernel support.
