Elementary OS Loki(0.4) Beta 发布了。

一些新特性：

• “circular” for use with image buttons. When combined with the flat class you’ll get an inverted icon where the circle is the text color and the icon itself is the background color.
  

• “compact” for use with Gtk.Headerbars to make them occupy less space as seen in apps like Terminal and CapNet.
  

• “primary” for use with primary labels in dialogs. This makes the text bold and larger, circumventing the need for Pango markup.

问题修复：

• Applications menu search is ignoring keywords
  

• Media keys do not show responsive confirmation notifications
  

• Region around notifications can become unclickable
  

• Not all online accounts services present are integrated
  

• Packagekitd sometimes takes 100% CPU
  

• Some regressions in the displays plug for multi-display users

Elementary OS是一款基于 Ubuntu 精心打磨美化的桌面 Linux 发行版，号称 “最美的 Linux”。 Elementary 最早是 Ubuntu 的一个美化主题项目，现在成了独立的发行版。

Elementary OS  由设计师主导开发，在风格上有点类似Mac OS（panel + dock），并且使用了Chrome OS 的应用菜单设计，所以能在elementary OS Luna 里面看到Mac OS + ChromeOS + Ubuntu + Gnome Shell 的身影，而系统的核心依然是 Ubuntu，完全兼容该系统的所有软件包。

elementary OS 从界面外观到系统的各种设计元素都很精美。Elementary OS 设计精美的 Ubuntu 衍生版 Linux 系统：为了统一设计风格， elementary OS 在默认软件选择上有点非主流，浏览器并没有采用常见的 Chrome 或FireFox，而是采用了 Midori，邮件程序用的是 Geary Mail 而非 ThunderBird，终端用的是 Pantheon Terminal，文本编辑器用的是 Scratch，音乐播放器使用的是 noise，文件管理器是 Pantheon Files 等等。

elementary OS是一个基于Ubuntu的Linux发行版，使用基于GNOME的桌面系统，以及命名为Pantheon的shell。 这个桌面系统出众的原因是比GNOME Shell更加简洁，并且深度集成了其他elementary OS应用程序，如Plank（一个基于Docky的Dock）、Midori（默认的网页浏览器）或Scratch（一个简单的文本编辑器）。该发行版使用基于Mutter的Gala作为其窗口管理器。elementary OS Luna 是elementary OS 最新的版本号。
