Porteus,
a logical continuation of the Slax project, is a Slackware-based live
CD in under 300 MB featuring the latest KDE and LXDE desktops. The
second and final release candidate of the distribution's inaugural
stable release is now ready for testing: "All part
of the Porteus 1.0 puzzle are set in place now. It's time for the very
last release candidate for this version. All seems to work fine, but as
