More fun with Slackware's version numbers as Patrick Volkerding announces the latest release candidate for the upcoming Slackware Linux 13.37: "There
have been quite a few changes so we will have one more release
candidate: Slackware 13.37 RC
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716. Very close now! But we'll
likely hold out for 2.6.37.6." The above-mentioned changes
include upgrade to Linux kernel 2.6.37.5 and associated rebuilds,
upgrade to xfsprogs 3.1.4, a security fix in Qt 4.7.0, upgrade to rsync
3.0.8, addition of Memtest86+ and virtio kernel modules to usbboot.img,
and a number of bug fix rebuilds (including GIMP 2.6.11, Firefox 4.0 and
