apt-get的力量，通过Internet来完成。Skolelinux的核心目标是本地化，以及系统管理的易用性。 Daniel Hess has announced the third release candidate of Skolelinux (also known as "Debian-Edu"), a distribution aiming to provide an out-of-the-box localised environment tailored for schools and universities: "This is the third release candidate of Debian-Edu Etch. Highlights: improved support for SSH-based installation; modified the CD/DVD build system to include architecture-specific packages, and use this to include the kernels needed by LTSP on AMD64 and PowerPC; install Scribus and Tux Paint by default in desktop installs; enabled sound and local device access on thin clients by default; added Hebrew and Japanese support; removed Gnash, because it is not ready for production use...."
