This is the final planned beta for SME 8. Major changes in beta 6: the policy is to stick with upstream updates unless there are compelling reasons not to; the number of customers unable to run the software they want because of the Samba and PHP versions constituted a compelling reason; Samba 3.x - the Samba packages have reverted to those provided by CentOS to simplify the support needed.
