TinyMe是基于PCLinuxOS的迷你发行。它被设计为能在老旧计算机上简化PCLinuxOS的安装,为开发者提供一份最小化的安装,以及在那些只需要满足最基本需求的场合提供一份快捷的Linux安装。 K Dulcimer has announced the first alpha release of TinyMe 2008.1, a minimalist Linux distribution based on PCLinuxOS: "I am proud to announce the release of the first alpha for TinyMe 2008.1. TinyMe 2008.1 will be an effort to try to get TinyMe down to a bare-bones 150 MB ISO image. What will it have? Well, you'll be able to: boot up the live CD, log in to a graphical desktop environment, configure your system with the PCLinuxOS control center, install TinyMe to the hard drive, and install programs with Synaptic. From there it's left up to your imagination. Add your own applications and configure as you please. What's different in this test release? New 2.6.24.4 kernel; full update to PCLinuxOS testing repositories; stripped out a lot of programs. Read the rest of the release announcement for further details.
