Robert Shingledecker has announced the availability of the first release candidate of Damn Small Linux 3.4, a business card-size live CD mini-distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. From the changelog: "Updated MurgaLua to v0.4.1; added libXft.so.2; added acpid, use boot option 'acpid'; added bcrypt, dropped des; improved emelfm for better command line interface support; fixed user umount Debian Woody bug; updated webdata to use bcrypt; updated file backup and restore to use bcrypt via 'protect' boot option. Please test carefully as the backup and restore code has changed. Please test the new bcrypt code with caution." Read the brief announcement on the distribution's user forums.
