Warren Woodford has announced the second release candidate for SimplyMEPIS 6.5: "SimplyMEPIS 6.5 RC2 is available for download and testing. RC2 contains an upgrade to the latest version of NdisWrapper which we have tested with new drivers. Current users of 6.x who need this upgrade can get it from the MEPIS pools but they need to be sure to install the latest MEPIS kernel, NdisWrapper, and NdisWrapper modules. In other developments, RC2 replaces QTParted with GParted for more comprehensive formatting of hard disks. And the MEPIS Xconfig Assistant now allows easy selection of PS/2, USB, serial, Wacom, Synaptics, ALPS, and Appletouch pointer devices." More details in the release announcement.
