JavaFX has a lot of potentials. JavaFX is a statically typed and declarative scripting language that also supports Java. It make the life of a developer much easier to create a nice RIA. The same code can run in desktop (Linux, Mac, Windows), mobile (WinCE), and TV (LG). I saw the demo on JavaOne conference. It was awesome and cool! Unfortunately, it only work on WinCE in mobile and it was still kind of slow. Hopefully, it will work on linux based mobile phones in the near future with the continuing effort from Oracle.
